St. Patrick’s Day Recipes ~ reasons to stay home and cook

With St. Patrick’s Day just right around the corner, I thought I would share with you some oldie-but-goodie recipes as well as some things that have caught my eye around the internet.

I’m sure many of you will be heading out to some fabulous pub next weekend for a pint and an awesome meal…but for those of us who will be staying home to cook something completely AWESOME, I hope this helps!!

Keep those Irish Eyes a Smilin’…ha-ha, that sounds dumb but I’m leaving it anyway.

Key Lime Cupcakes ~ not Irish but perfectly green, making them quite appropriate.

Whiskey Glazed Corned Beef ~ a personal favorite.

Guinness Stout Chocolate Layer Cake ~ just decadent!

Beef Irish Stew ~ get your last tastes of winter in with this one, unless you live in Oregon, then you might have some time.

Cheater’s Key Lime Pie ~ why not…it’s green, it’s pretty.

Guinness Stout Ginger Cake ~ just lovely.

Glowing Geckos ~ green and fun!

  1. I’ll be making the Whiskey Glazed Corned Beef again this year. It is so awesome and I double the glaze recipe and use the extra on the side. I serve it with an awesome hot cabbage shred.

We stay at home a lot, and a must for St. Patrick’s Day is corned beef and cabbage. But your dessert looks very beautiful and tasty. A great way to clean the palate after our corned beef and cabbage!
